Ms. Stephanie read her law at Northumbria University, United Kingdom and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2018. She completed her Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at the same university whereupon she was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2021, accredited as a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. She was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in January 2022.
Working Experience
Prior to commencing her pupillage, Ms. Stephanie interned at Messrs Iza Ng Yeoh & Kit. She then chambered at the same firm under the supervision of Datuk Jory Leong Kam Weng as her master. One of the highlights to her pupillage was the chance to conduct a legal due diligence on a property development company for a proposed Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar, Ms. Stephanie was with Messrs David Lai & Tan for a few months whereby she was given the opportunity to assist in some capital market exercises including mergers and acquisition, initial public offering and issuance of warrants.
Ms. Stephanie joined us on the 5th of September 2022 as a legal assistant in the firm’s banking and conveyancing department.
